Finally finished my Superman. I’ve been working on this on and off for the past year or so. Completely done in Zbrush with a lot of DynaMesh. Lovin’ me some DynaMesh! If you hate the technical side of modeling as much as I do check it out.
Based on the comic art work of Ethan Van Sciver.

…Last one I promise. Always wanted to do a Destro statue and the Baroness makes for a nice accessory.

I don’t troll the art forums as much as I use to. Too busy these days I guess, but I happened to see Zbrush Central started a new forum honoring toprow threads with more than half a million views! Mine is one out of 6 that have topped 500k views of all the many users on ZBC. Pretty cool because ZBC was the first forums I was ever a member of. Through it I’ve gotten some great exposure and met a lot of great artists who’ve inspired me to work harder and challenge myself artistically.

I forgot how pimpish 80′s cartoon villains could be. Capes, gold medallions and staffs.
Primary sculpting by myself with additional help by Adam Ross. Fabric costume and paints by the Sideshow development team. As always you can head over to Sideshow for more info and pics

Sketch I did the other day at lunch. Inspired by being uninspired by my new snowboards graphic. I just picked up a new Gnu Park Pickle which is absolutely the funnest board I’ve ever ridden, but the art leaves a lot to be desired. I find it annoying how these manufactures slap crappy art on snowboards that one of their buddies did and charge 400 large for it. Anywho here’s my take on what I’d like to see on next years topsheet. Who knows one of GNU’s artists may see it and rip it off.
